About Me
I’m passionate about revolutionizing education and career development through innovative technology.
My Journey
My journey in educational technology began with a pivotal realization: the design and implementation of technology are just as crucial, if not more so, than its development. This insight has been the cornerstone of my career, driving me to bridge the gap between cutting-edge innovation and practical, sustainable solutions in education and workforce development.
A defining moment came when I started Great Lakes Reality Labs, jumping head-first into education technology through VR and game-based learning. This transition allowed me to refine my focus from general software development to more specialized educational technologies. My ability to adapt and specialize quickly became one of my key strengths, enabling me to stay at the forefront of emerging technologies.
Later, my move to EmergeNET marked another significant shift, deepening my expertise in workforce development and engineering within the edtech space. This transition showcased my versatility and my talent for applying technological solutions to diverse areas of education and career development.
My Vision
My approach to innovation has evolved significantly over time. Initially captivated by cutting-edge technology, I’ve come to understand that true innovation lies in the sustainable adoption of modern solutions. This perspective shift has been crucial in developing practical, impactful tools for education and career development. My strength lies in balancing technological advancement with real-world applicability, ensuring that the solutions I develop are not just innovative, but also accessible and sustainable.
Looking ahead, I’m excited about growing the adoption and sophistication of the products I work on. I’m particularly keen on exploring the potential of AI in educational technology and workforce development. I envision a future where creating custom educational content becomes more accessible, empowering a wider range of individuals – from students to educators – to contribute to curriculum development. My forward-thinking approach and ability to anticipate future trends in edtech continue to be valuable assets in my professional journey.
I believe the most significant opportunity in our field is increasing awareness and understanding. My goal is not just to innovate but to bridge the knowledge gap between technology experts and subject matter experts in various industries. I firmly believe that awareness is half the battle, education gets you another 90%, and implementation is the final crucial 90% 😉 It’s this philosophy that drives my passion for creating intuitive, powerful tools that can transform how we approach learning and career development.
